He is the recipient of the $1000 prize offered by the Cole Foundation. Jordan with be working with translator mentor Maureen Labonté over the next several months.

Jordan Arseneault (b. New Brunswick, 1980) is a socially engaged translator, performer and artist living in Montreal and working in the translation field since 2006. A founding member of translation and subtitling company T & S Coop, he has worked on the English subtitles for Richard Brouillette’s 2015 Oncle Bernard: A Counter-lesson in Economics, Simon Gaudreau’s Fucké (2014) and Geneiève Dulude-De Celles’s Bienvenue à FL (2015). Under his stage name of Peaches Lepage, he has created many short vocal and performance pieces for venues such as Meow Mix, Spark, and the Festival Jamais Lu (Vousêtes le garçon avec qui je veux partager mon argent, 2015) invited by Éric Noël. 2014 saw him perform in the bilingual collective theatre work Propositions for the AIDS Museum (by projets_hybris at Théatre aux Écuries) and present his latest work SEROCENE at the MIX NYC Queer Experimental Film Festival in Brooklyn, NY, a work in development supported by Studio 303 for its 2016 remount. His English translation of Vincent Geloso’s economics treatise Du Grand rattrapage au Déclintranquille (Accent Grave, 2013) is slated to appear later in 2016.
