Atlantis tells the story of a passionate encounter between two characters on the Greek island of Santorini. Ben is a Canadian in his fifties who has taken refuge on the sunny isle thought to be the legendary Atlantis. He encounters Mircea, a mystical local woman. A love affair begins, and the two characters suddenly find themselves under the scrutiny of the inhabitants of the rest of the island.

Atlantis was translated into French through Transmissions, a joint project between Playwrights' Workshop Montréal and Centre des auteurs dramatiques in March, 1997. The Transmissions program brings the playwright, translator, actors and a dramaturg together to facilitate the translation process. Through public readings and intensive workshops, the translation is written and ready for its French language debut. "...a badly needed hot spot for the soul."
