No one formula leads to producing a "good", production-ready play. Each writer's unique vision demands a method of creation tailored to his or her specific needs.

From Jan Derbyshire's one-woman show to Jason Sherman's documentary-style drama, the Script Portfolios exemplify different creative processes which accommodate a variety of needs. Five of the plays have been developed with Playwrights' Workshop Montréal, and demonstrate possible (though not exhaustive) applications of some of our programs such as Extended Workshops, Artists in Residence, and Transmissions, our translation project.
