Résidence d’écriture théâtrale de Gros-morne

Applications to this program are currently opened. Learn more about the 2024 Gros Morne Playwrights’ Residency.

The Gros Morne Playwrights’ Residency brings French and English playwrights from across Canada together to write, dream, share and create. Playwrights’ Workshop Montréal (PWM) and le Centre des auteurs dramatiques (CEAD) in partnership with Creative Gros Morne, the Bonne Bay Aquarium, the Fondation Cole, and Artistic Fraud, the program offers dramaturgy in both official languages. Selected playwrights fly to the Bonne Bay Marine Station at Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland for a ten-day retreat where they can benefit from a combination of unstructured writing time, individual dramaturgical sessions, and daily formalized exchanges on process. Located on Newfoundland’s breathtaking west coast within the vibrant community of Norris Point, the Bonne Bay Marine Station is beautifully set up for an artistic residency that inspires new work.
