Playwrights’ Workshop Montréal (PWM) is a nationally mandated Canadian play development organization and a professional theatre centre dedicated to the development of contemporary Canadian work and new writers for the stage.
We were founded in 1963 and incorporated in 1966. A member based organization, our objective is to provide a critical and vibrant environment for the playwright to further his or her craft and prepare new scripts for production. From our home base, a bright loft in Montréal ‘s Mile End district, we work with writers across the country and beyond.
